What does it mean when one of the interview questions is "Have you been applying to other jobs?" and then sometimes "Some examples of where?". The latter seems a bit personal, but the main question puzzles me. Is it a matter of effort? Is it a matter of how in-demand you are and if they are risking losing you?

Anyone ever get this? Thoughts?

Ok, so I have an "informal interview" with a major advertising company to talk about design, the company, and I think a possible internship with them. Since it is in California and I am in Michigan, it'll be a conference call between me, the creative recruiter, the recruiting coordinator, and a designer from the team. I'm on the job hunt. Well, after I get my vacation time back Jan 1 I will be. I'm putting my resume into different websites, and talking with friends and stuff like that.
